Day-by-Day Itinerary

1

Day 1 – Arrival in Islamabad Arrival at Islamabad International Airport. Our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Expedition briefing and preparation for the journey to the Karakoram. Overnight: Islamabad – Hotel Day 2 – Islamabad → Skardu Morning flight from Islamabad to Skardu, subject to weather and flight operations. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest. Overnight: Skardu – Hotel Day 3 – Skardu A preparation and acclimatization day in Skardu. Complete trekking arrangements, check equipment and explore Skardu if time permits. Overnight: Skardu – Hotel Day 4 – Skardu → Hushe Drive from Skardu to Hushe Valley. The journey passes through the spectacular Shyok and Hushe valleys before reaching Hushe, the last village accessible by road on this trekking route. Overnight: Hushe – Camp Altitude: approximately 3,050m Day 5 – Hushe → Saitcho/Shaicho Begin the trek from Hushe toward the Charakusa Valley. The trail follows the valley and passes through beautiful alpine scenery before reaching Saitcho/Shaicho. Overnight: Saitcho/Shaicho – Camp Altitude: approximately 3,300–3,400m Trekking: approximately 3–4 hours Day 6 – Saitcho/Shaicho → Spangser Continue deeper into the Charakusa Valley. The trail crosses increasingly rugged terrain with spectacular views of granite towers and surrounding glaciers. Overnight: Spangser – Camp Altitude: approximately 4,000m Trekking: approximately 5–6 hours Day 7 – Spangser → K6/K7 Base Camp Continue from Spangser toward the K6/K7 Base Camp. The landscape becomes more rugged as the trail approaches the glacier and the high mountain amphitheatre. Overnight: K6/K7 Base Camp – Camp Altitude: approximately 4,600m Trekking: approximately 4–6 hours Day 8 – K6/K7 Base Camp Exploration Spend a full day at K6/K7 Base Camp. Explore the surrounding area and enjoy spectacular views of K6, K7, Link Sar, Nayser Brakk and the surrounding Charakusa peaks and glaciers. This is also an important acclimatization and photography day. Overnight: K6/K7 Base Camp – Camp Day 9 – K6/K7 Base Camp → Saitcho/Shaicho Begin the descent through the Charakusa Valley, retracing the route toward Saitcho/Shaicho. Overnight: Saitcho/Shaicho – Camp Trekking: approximately 5–6 hours Day 10 – Saitcho/Shaicho → Hushe → Skardu Complete the trek from Saitcho/Shaicho to Hushe. Meet the vehicle at Hushe and drive back to Skardu. Overnight: Skardu – Hotel Trekking: approximately 3–4 hours Drive: approximately 6 hours Day 11 – Skardu → Islamabad Fly from Skardu to Islamabad, subject to weather and flight operations. Transfer to your hotel after arrival. Overnight: Islamabad – Hotel Day 12 – Islamabad / Contingency Day Reserved for the return journey in case the Skardu–Islamabad flight is cancelled or delayed. If the flight operates as scheduled, enjoy a free day in Islamabad or optional sightseeing. Overnight: Islamabad – Hotel Day 13 – Departure Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your onward flight. End of K6/K7 Base Camp Trek.
