Laila Peak Expedition (6095m)

Day 1 – Arrival in Islamabad Arrival at Islamabad International Airport. Transfer to the hotel, expedition briefing and equipment check. Day 2 – Islamabad to Skardu Flight from Islamabad to Skardu, subject to weather and flight operations. Transfer to the hotel and rest. Day 3 – Skardu Preparation Final expedition preparations in Skardu, including equipment inspection, permits/formalities and coordination with the climbing and support team. Day 4 – Skardu to Hushe Drive from Skardu to Hushe Village through the scenic valleys of Baltistan. Overnight in Hushe. Day 5 – Hushe to Saicho Begin the trek from Hushe toward Saicho, following the Hushe Valley approach. Camp at Saicho. Day 6 – Saicho to Laila Peak Base Camp Continue the trek toward Laila Peak Base Camp. Establish camp and organize climbing equipment. Day 7 – Acclimatization at Base Camp Rest and acclimatization at Base Camp. A short acclimatization hike may be undertaken depending on the team's condition. Day 8 – Acclimatization & Climbing Preparation Undertake a higher acclimatization climb and review climbing equipment, ropes and technical gear. Return to Base Camp. Day 9 – Rest & Weather Assessment Rest at Base Camp. The climbing team assesses the route and weather forecast and prepares for the summit rotation. Day 10 – Move to Higher Camp Begin the climbing phase and move from Base Camp toward the first established higher camp on the selected route. Day 11 – Higher Camp / Acclimatization Continue climbing and acclimatization at altitude. The exact camp location will depend on the route and current mountain conditions. Day 12 – Return to Base Camp Descend to Base Camp for recovery and final preparation for the summit attempt. Day 13 – Begin Summit Rotation Leave Base Camp and move back toward the higher camp with essential climbing and summit equipment. Day 14 – High Camp Continue toward the highest suitable camp established on the route. Prepare for the summit attempt and rest before the early start. Day 15 – Summit Attempt – Laila Peak (6,096m) Early morning summit attempt on Laila Peak. The climbing team proceeds according to weather, route and snow/ice conditions. After the summit attempt, descend toward the higher camp or lower camp as conditions permit. The summit attempt is subject to weather, route conditions and the physical condition of the climbing team. Day 16 – Descend to Base Camp Complete the descent to Laila Peak Base Camp and recover after the summit attempt. Day 17 – Base Camp to Saicho / Hushe Begin the return trek toward Saicho and continue toward Hushe as conditions and group pace allow. Important Expedition Note The itinerary is designed as a 17-day expedition framework rather than a guaranteed fixed schedule. The climbing phase should remain flexible, particularly around Days 13–15. If weather or route conditions prevent a summit attempt, the expedition leader may adjust the climbing schedule within the available window. The exact location and number of higher camps is not fixed in the itinerary, because these can change according to the route selected and current conditions on Laila Peak.
