14-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Islamabad Arrival at Islamabad International Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight: Islamabad Day 2 – Islamabad → Skardu Morning flight from Islamabad to Skardu, weather permitting. Transfer to the hotel and rest. Overnight: Skardu Day 3 – Skardu & Surroundings Explore the wildlife and landscapes around Skardu. Visit Upper Kachura Lake, Shangrila and Kharpocho Fort, with opportunities to photograph local birds and mountain landscapes. Overnight: Skardu Day 4 – Skardu → Deosai National Park Travel by 4x4 jeep from Skardu into Deosai National Park. Explore the high-altitude plateau and begin wildlife observation. Look for golden marmots, Himalayan ibex, red foxes and birds of prey. Overnight: Deosai Camp Day 5 – Deosai Wildlife Safari A full day dedicated to wildlife observation and photography. Explore the Deosai plains and known wildlife areas in search of the Himalayan brown bear and other species. Deosai is officially recognized as an important habitat for brown bears, marmots, ibex, Tibetan wolf and red fox. Overnight: Deosai Camp Day 6 – Sheosar Lake & Bara Pani → Skardu Early wildlife observation followed by visits to Sheosar Lake and Bara Pani. Continue across the plateau and descend to Skardu. Overnight: Skardu Day 7 – Skardu → Hunza Drive toward Hunza through the spectacular mountain landscape of Gilgit-Baltistan. Stop at selected viewpoints along the route, including the Rakaposhi viewpoint. Overnight: Hunza Day 8 – Hunza Wildlife & Nature Explore the upper Hunza region around Passu, Borith Lake and Gojal. Look for Himalayan ibex, marmots, mountain birds and other wildlife while photographing the spectacular Karakoram landscape. Overnight: Passu/Hunza Day 9 – Hunza → Khunjerab National Park Drive along the Karakoram Highway toward Khunjerab National Park. The park is one of Pakistan's most important high-altitude wildlife areas and supports Marco Polo sheep, Himalayan ibex, blue sheep, golden marmots, Tibetan wolf, red fox and snow leopard. Overnight: Sost/Hunza Day 10 – Khunjerab Wildlife Safari Full day dedicated to wildlife observation in the Khunjerab region. Search the high-altitude slopes for Marco Polo sheep and Himalayan ibex, while keeping an eye out for the elusive snow leopard and other wildlife. Overnight: Sost/Hunza Day 11 – Khunjerab → Hunza Continue wildlife observation during the return journey from Khunjerab. Stop at suitable locations for photography and explore the villages and landscapes of Upper Hunza. Overnight: Hunza Day 12 – Hunza → Gilgit Drive from Hunza toward Gilgit. Explore selected areas around the Gilgit Valley for birdwatching and landscape photography. Overnight: Gilgit Day 13 – Gilgit → Islamabad Morning flight from Gilgit to Islamabad, subject to flight operations. Transfer to hotel and rest. Overnight: Islamabad Day 14 – Departure Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your onward flight. End of Tour
