The Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek is a spectacular short trek into the heart of the Karakoram, taking you from Minapin Village in Nagar Valley to the beautiful Tagaphari meadows beneath Rakaposhi (7,788 m). The journey combines a scenic flight from Islamabad to Gilgit with three days of trekking through forests, alpine meadows and rugged mountain terrain. Along the trail, trekkers enjoy close views of Rakaposhi, Diran Peak and Minapin Glacier, while experiencing the peaceful landscapes and traditional communities of Nagar Valley. The trek is challenging enough to provide a genuine Himalayan adventure, yet short enough to suit travelers with limited time.

Islamabad → Gilgit ✈️ → Minapin
Flight from Islamabad to Gilgit, followed by a scenic drive to Minapin. Trek briefing and overnight stay.
Minapin → Hapakun
Begin the trek through forested mountain terrain toward Hapakun. Overnight camping.
Hapakun → Rakaposhi Base Camp / Tagaphari
Trek higher into the alpine zone toward Tagaphari. Enjoy spectacular views of Rakaposhi, Diran and Minapin Glacier. Overnight camping.
Rakaposhi Base Camp → Minapin
Morning at base camp for photography and mountain views, followed by descent to Minapin. Overnight at a hotel/guesthouse.
Minapin → Hunza
Drive to Hunza and explore Baltit Fort, Karimabad and surrounding viewpoints. Overnight in Hunza.
Hunza → Gilgit
Hunza → Gilgit Morning sightseeing in Hunza, followed by a drive to Gilgit. Overnight in Gilgit.
Gilgit → Islamabad ✈️
Gilgit → Islamabad ✈️ Transfer to Gilgit Airport and fly back to Islamabad.
