The ascent marks a significant achievement for Miandad, following a demanding expedition involving glacier travel, high altitude, challenging weather and extensive preparation.

In his summit announcement, Miandad described the climb as a journey of perseverance, emphasizing the physical and mental challenges encountered throughout the expedition.

Miandad dedicated the achievement to his family, friends and supporters and thanked Foxess and Renergy for sponsoring his expedition.

He also dedicated the climb to the sustainable mountain environment, highlighting the importance of protecting Pakistan’s fragile high-altitude landscapes as mountaineering and adventure tourism continue to grow.

At 7,027 metres, Spantik is one of Pakistan’s prominent high-altitude mountaineering objectives. Located in the Karakoram of Gilgit-Baltistan, the mountain is known for its distinctive appearance, challenging conditions and spectacular alpine surroundings.

Miandad’s successful ascent adds another notable achievement to Pakistan’s growing mountaineering community and highlights the country’s potential as a destination for high-altitude climbing.
